Omnific Joins Supplier Diversity Program as a Certified Women's Business Enterprise
01/21/2010
Certification Helps Clientele Meet Diversity Staffing Requirements
Orange County, California – Omnific Advertising, founded in 1991 by CEO and President Julie Glacy, recently received official certification as a woman-owned business from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).

The nationally recognized certification establishes Omnific as an approved partner for utility-related businesses participating in diversity staffing programs. Currently, Omnific, a full-service marketing and advertising firm, works with utility companies and their vendors in more than 15 states.

"We are continually looking for ways to add value to our services in order to strengthen our commitment to clients and expand our reach," said Glacy. "As a certified Women's Business Enterprise with CPUC, Omnific adds yet another benefit for utility industry clients, who already trust our 18 years of experience and diverse line of services for their business needs."

To become certified with CPUC, Glacy and Omnific underwent an extensive review in order to qualify not only as a woman-owned company but as a business operated under the leadership and direction of a woman. For the past 18 years, Glacy has built Omnific around a commitment to visionary client care and services that incorporate both traditional and emerging media tactics for companies of all sizes.

Now, with CPUC certification in place, Omnific can offer utility-related clients the same meticulous blend of strategic planning and creative execution for which the agency is known as well as the opportunity to earn credits toward their supplier diversity ratio. Working with Omnific further demonstrates a clients' commitment to diversity in the business community and encourages the growth of woman-owned businesses.

"It's a special honor to receive certification from CPUC, which works hard to promote diversity and create business opportunities for women in a variety of industries," said Glacy. "At Omnific, it's vital that we respond to the business environments in which our clients operate, and we clearly saw the need and benefit for clients to earn diversity credits while working with our dedicated team. As a diversity-minded business, Omnific is proud to further enrich our services with CPUC certification."

In addition to earning Women's Business Enterprise Certification from CPUC, Glacy is also a member of Vistage International and the National Association of Women Business Owners and the National Association of Professional Women.
